Each masterpiece crafted under the auspices of the Queen Sirikit Institute is deeply rooted in the ancient Thai arts, tracing back to the Ayutthaya period. Many pieces incorporate innovative techniques developed during the reign of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. Every creation is meticulously handmade by the once-impoverished sons and daughters of rural farmers, trained and nurtured to become master artisans through the Institute’s programs.
This remarkable transformation stems from the vision and heartfelt dedication of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, whose unwavering commitment to “developing people” laid the foundation for this initiative.
